This privacy policy is for this website; [www.lochdress.scot] and served by [Loch Dress, The Workshop, Inchmore, Inverness, IV5 7PX] and governs the privacy of its users who choose to use it. It explains how we comply with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), the DPA (Data Protection Act) [pre GDPR enforcement] and the PECR (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations).

We and this website comply to the DPA (Data Protection Act 1998) and to the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) which came into affect from May 2018.

Summary
Loch Dress collects only the minimum data needed to transact our business. Any such data collected will be used only by us and only for the purposes stated. We do not share data. We take reasonable precausions to ensure that all data we hold is kept secure and is securely deleted when no longer required.

Gathering and storing of personal data
Loch Dress does not store any personal data on this website. If you make a purchase from the website only such data as is essential to conduct our business with you is stored and retained - e.g. name, address and contact details. This data is not stored within the website, but on a secure computer on our premises. We do not share your data with any other party.

Financial records
If you make a purchase through our website your financial information may be stored and used by Paypal. No financial information is passed on to us by Paypal, merely that you have or have not paid.

If you make a purchase from us as a result of secure email communication then your financial information may be used and retained by Worldpay. Again, no financial information is passed to us other than that you have or have not paid the amount due.

If you telephone us to make a purchase over the phone with your credit or debit card we store these details in a secure manner and only until such time as transactions have cleared and the time allowed for disputed payment has passed. At this point all records are shredded.

Use of Cookies and Website Visitor Tracking
This website uses tracking software to monitor its visitors so we can better understand how they use our site so that we can take account of this information when making changes to the website. The software will save a cookie to your computer’s hard drive in order to track and monitor your engagement and usage of the website, but will not collect, store, save or share any personal information. Subscriber personal details are collected, processed, managed and stored in accordance with the regulations named in ‘The policy’ above. Subscribers can unsubscribe at any time through an automated online service, or if not available, other means as detailed in the footer of sent marketing messages (or unsubscribe from all Mailchimp lists). The type and content of marketing messages subscribers receive, and if it may contain third party content, is clearly outlined at the point of subscription.

Where used, such marketing messages may record a range of subscriber data relating to engagement, geographic, demographics and already stored subscriber data.
